Ax Inventory Restore Plugin FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I start using this plugin?
Make sure you have the admin permission (axinventoryrestore.admin), then type /axir to open the menu for any player and see their saved inventory snapshots.
Does it save inventories automatically or do I have to do it manually?
It saves automatically on a timer, but it also takes snapshots whenever a player joins, leaves, dies, or switches worlds—you can also force a save with /axir save or /axir save * for everyone.
Can I restore items to a player who already logged off?
Yes, you can restore items to offline players; the items will be added to their inventory the next time they join the server.
What's the difference between restoring items directly and using a shulker box?
Restoring directly puts items back into the player's inventory immediately, while the shulker box option packs everything into a container they can grab later—useful if their inventory is full.
How far back can I see a player's inventory history?
The plugin automatically deletes old saved data after a set number of days, which is configurable in the settings file.
Does this work if I run multiple servers?
Yes, if you connect the plugin to a shared database, inventory data syncs across all your servers.
Will this slow down my server?
No, the plugin runs quietly in the background without impacting game performance.
Can I change the command messages to another language?
Yes, all chat messages are customizable in the configuration file, so you can translate them to any language.
What happens if I change the config—do I need to restart?
No, you can type /axir reload to update the plugin after changing settings without restarting the server.
Can regular players use this plugin or only admins?
Only players with the axinventoryrestore.admin permission can access the commands and menus.
