Capture Cinematic Screenshots and Videos

Position Your Camera Strategically

Astral Cinema Shaders excels at scenic moments. Move to visually interesting locations—waterfalls, mountain peaks, forests with dappled light, or your builds during sunset. The shader's soft shadows and color grading enhance depth, making compositions feel more polished than vanilla Minecraft.

Use Optimal Lighting Conditions

Golden hour (sunrise and sunset) produces the most cinematic results, with warm tones and long shadows creating natural drama. Rainy weather adds atmosphere through the shader's water and sky effects. Avoid high noon unless you want bright, clear footage.

Disable HUD Elements

Press F1 to hide your hotbar, health, and experience bar for clean screenshots. If recording video, consider disabling the debug screen (F3) as well.

Adjust Render Distance

Increase render distance before capturing to show more landscape depth. The shader's soft lighting makes distant terrain look better than vanilla, enhancing the cinematic feel of wide shots.

Export and Share

Screenshots save to your screenshots folder. For videos, use external recording software to capture gameplay while the shader runs.
