Reduce Lag and Improve Performance
Lower Shadow Quality
Access shader settings (pause menu → Options → Video Settings → Shaders → shader config). Look for shadow-related options:
- Shadow Distance: Reduce this to render shadows closer to your character only
- Shadow Resolution: Lower settings decrease detail but boost FPS significantly
- Shadow Samples: Fewer samples = softer but faster shadows
Disable or Reduce Bloom Effects
Find bloom or glow settings and either disable them or reduce their intensity. Bloom around torches and bright blocks is visually appealing but performance-intensive.
Adjust Other Parameters
- Ambient Occlusion: Disable if performance is critical
- Render Distance: Lower in-game render distance to reduce overall load
- Volumetric Lighting: Turn off if available
Test Changes
Apply adjustments one at a time and monitor FPS using F3 debug screen. This helps identify which settings impact your specific device most. The shader is designed for low-end devices, so even minimal adjustments should yield noticeable improvements.
