Adjust Shader Brightness and Contrast
Access Shader Settings
Open your pause menu while in-game, then navigate to Options → Video Settings → Shaders. Look for the shader configuration button (usually a gear icon or settings option next to the active shader name). This opens the shader-specific menu.
Modify Lighting Parameters
Within the shader settings panel, you'll find sliders for:
- Brightness: Increase to make dark areas more visible, decrease for a moodier atmosphere
- Contrast: Adjust to make shadows deeper or lighter
- Exposure: Controls overall light intensity across your world
These settings affect how bloom around light sources appears and how shadows render. Start with small adjustments—shader changes apply in real-time, so you can see results immediately.
Save Your Preferences
Once satisfied, confirm or apply your changes. Most shader packs auto-save settings. If you switch shaders and return, your custom values should persist.
Tip: On lower-end devices, reducing brightness slightly can improve performance while maintaining visual quality.
