How to Create and Apply a Custom Skin with the Skinning Table

Making a Skin

Place a Skinning Table and right-click it to open the skinning interface. Use a Skin Template to start a new skin, then paint it with the Paintbrush and Paint Roller. Switch colours with the Color Picker and Dye Bottle, and mix custom shades in the Color Mixer. The Hue Tool, Shade Noise Tool, and Color Noise Tool adjust tone and texture across the skin.

Use the Dodge Tool to lighten areas and the Burn Tool to darken them. The Blending Tool softens hard edges between colours. The Block Marker lets you mark specific blocks on the skin for targeted edits. When the skin is finished, save it to a Skin Library placed nearby, or to a Global Skin Library if you want it shared across worlds.

Applying a Skin

Craft or obtain an Armourer block and place it. Right-click the Armourer to open its menu, then load the skin from your Skin Library or Global Skin Library. Assign the skin to the armour slot you want — head, chest, legs, feet, or wings — using the matching Skin Slot Unlock item if that slot is not yet available.

Wear the armour piece and the skin appears on it. Use the Wand Of Style to copy a skin from one armour piece to another, and Soap to strip a skin off an item.
