How to Build and Apply Your First Custom Skin
Getting the Skinning Table
Start by crafting a Skinning Table. This is the workstation where all skin editing happens. Place it down and right-click it to open the skin editing interface. You also need a Skin Template, which is the base item you paint on before it becomes a wearable skin.
Painting and Saving
Open the Skinning Table and load a Skin Template into the editing area. Use the Paintbrush to paint directly onto the template's surface. Switch colors by using a Dye Bottle or mixing custom colors in the Color Mixer. For finer control, use the Hue Tool, Shade Noise Tool, or Color Noise Tool to adjust tones and add texture.
If you make a mistake, use the Soap to erase paint or the Dodge Tool to lighten areas. The Burn Tool darkens them. When the template looks right, save it as a skin. The finished skin can then be applied to armor pieces.
Applying the Skin
Place your armor piece and the saved skin into the Skinning Table to transfer the design onto it. Alternatively, use the Wand Of Style to apply a saved skin directly to a held armor piece. To unlock additional armor slots for skinning, craft the matching unlock items: Head Skin Slot Unlock, Chest Skin Slot Unlock, Legs Skin Slot Unlock, Feet Skin Slot Unlock, Wings Skin Slot Unlock, and Outfit Skin Slot Unlock.
