Anyminer Mod FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I start using Anyminer?
Hold any tool (pickaxe, axe, hoe, or shovel) and aim at a connected block like ore, wood, or crops—you'll see an outline preview showing what will break. Swing once to harvest the entire group in waves instead of breaking blocks one at a time.
What's the difference between the three mining modes?
Standard vein mining breaks all connected blocks of the same type. Tunnel mode digs a 3×3 hallway forward in the direction you're facing. Chunk mode clears a vertical column locked to your current chunk, useful for clearing down to bedrock.
Will my tool break if I use Anyminer on a huge vein?
No—the mod stops harvesting automatically before your tool runs out of durability. You can adjust the durability safety margin in the settings menu (press O) to leave extra buffer if you want.
How do I change which blocks Anyminer affects?
Press O to open settings, then adjust your block filter list. You can use presets like "all blocks," "ores and logs only," or create a custom manual list of specific blocks to harvest.
Does Anyminer work with Fortune and Silk Touch?
Yes—the mod preserves all normal enchantment drops, so Fortune multiplies your yields and Silk Touch collects blocks intact just like vanilla mining.
What happens if I switch tools while mining?
The mining wave stops immediately when you switch tools, so you won't accidentally break blocks with an unintended tool or waste durability on the wrong one.
Do crops replant automatically after I harvest them?
Yes—when you break a crop patch with Anyminer, the mod automatically replants the harvested blocks, so your farm regrows without manual replanting.
Why aren't items going into my inventory after mining?
Anyminer pulls dropped items toward you automatically, but they still follow normal pickup rules—make sure you're close enough and have inventory space. Items float toward your character but don't teleport directly into your inventory.
Can I adjust how deep Anyminer digs in chunk mode?
Yes—open the settings menu with O and adjust the chunk depth setting to control how far down the column clears in that mode.
Does Anyminer track my mining statistics?
Yes—the mod tracks player statistics like blocks broken and items collected, which you can view in-game to monitor your progress.
