Create a Floating Platform Using Potions

Brew the Chorus Potion

Start by creating a Chorus Potion in your brewing stand. Brew an Awkward Potion using a Water Bottle and Nether Wart, then add Chorus Fruit to complete it.

Apply the Potion to Terrain

Throw a splash potion of Chorus at the ground where you want to create a floating platform. The impact will lift terrain blocks directly into the air, creating solid walkable ground suspended above the original surface.

For larger platforms, use a lingering potion instead. Lingering potions excavate and lift significantly more terrain—up to multiple layers of blocks depending on the potion's effect duration.

Manage Block Duration

The lifted blocks will remain solid and walkable for as long as the potion effect is active. Once the effect expires, blocks will gently drift back down to their original positions. Plan your platform timing accordingly, or use multiple potions to extend the duration and create larger structures.

This technique is useful for reaching high areas, creating temporary bridges, or building mid-air structures without scaffolding.
