Antygravity Mod FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I get the inverted gravity effect to start?
Brew a Chorus Potion by adding Chorus Fruit to an Awkward Potion, then drink it. You can also throw it as a splash potion to affect other players or mobs nearby. The effect will flip your gravity and rotate your camera smoothly by 180 degrees.
What happens if I jump while walking on the ceiling?
You'll jump upward (away from the ceiling) like normal. If you fall back down and hit the ceiling again after your initial landing, you'll take fall damage based on how far you fell, so use water, lava, ladders, or elytra to break your fall safely.
Can I use terrain lifting potions to build floating platforms?
Yes. Throw a splash or lingering potion at the ground and it will lift terrain blocks into the air where they stay solid and walkable. Lingering potions can excavate and lift multiple layers of blocks, creating larger floating structures.
How do I get mobs to float into the sky?
Shoot mobs with flipped arrows while under the inverted gravity effect, and they'll float upward. This works on both hostile and passive mobs.
Do lifted terrain blocks stay floating forever?
No. Blocks gently drop back down to their original positions after the potion effect ends, so plan your platforms accordingly.
What's the safe landing cushioning and when does it stop working?
When you first activate inverted gravity and make contact with the ceiling, the mod provides cushioning to prevent fall damage. After that initial landing, normal fall damage applies if you jump and fall back into the ceiling.
Can I use ladders and water while upside down?
Yes. Ladders, water, lava, and elytra all work normally while under the inverted gravity effect and can be used to slow or stop your upward falls.
How do other players see me when I'm upside down in multiplayer?
Your character model, nametag, and animations are all displayed correctly inverted to other players, so they'll see you walking on the ceiling just as you see it.
Can I crouch and sprint on the ceiling?
Yes. All normal movement options work on the ceiling, including crouching, sprinting, and climbing ladders.
What should I do if I get stuck falling upward?
Use water, lava, a ladder, or deploy your elytra to break your fall and regain control. Make sure you have one of these options available before activating the effect in dangerous areas.
