Antique Atlas Auto Marker Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I start getting automatic markers on my atlas?
Once the mod is installed, simply explore the world and discover structures, waystones, or other points of interest—markers will place automatically on your atlas book. You don't need to do anything; the mod detects discoveries as you load chunks.
Why aren't my waystone markers showing up?
Make sure you've actually activated or discovered the waystone by interacting with it; the mod only marks waystones you've personally found. If markers still don't appear, check that Waystones support is enabled in the mod's config file.
Can I delete a marker without removing it for other players?
Yes—deleting a pin from your personal atlas book only removes it from your copy, not from the server or other players' atlases. Server-side markers remain shared across all players.
How do I use the quick travel feature from my map?
Open your atlas book, look at the map screen where waystones are marked, and use the quick destination select button to choose a waystone and travel directly to it without opening the full waystone interface.
What structures does this mod mark automatically?
The mod marks waystones, Ice and Fire boss dens, dungeons from Doomlike Dungeons and similar mods, mineshafts, pirate ships, and other world structures depending on which mods you have installed and your config settings.
How do I set up automatic markers for librarian trades?
Open the mod's configuration menu and enable librarian trade markers, then set which enchanted books or trades you want marked; librarians with matching trades will be marked on your atlas as you discover them.
Does this mod cause lag on multiplayer servers?
No—the mod actually reduces server lag by splitting marker network packets into batches and only syncing map data to players holding that specific atlas, rather than broadcasting to everyone.
Will my death location be saved if I'm holding the atlas in my offhand?
Yes, this mod fixes the bug where death markers wouldn't save properly when the atlas was in your offhand; your death point will now be marked correctly regardless of where you're holding the book.
Can server admins place hidden markers that show nearby locations?
Yes—admins can use custom position markers to place hidden markers on the server that reveal nearby points of interest to players who discover them.
What happens if I combine two atlases that have duplicate markers?
This mod fixes item duplication issues that occurred when combining atlases in crafting, so you won't lose items or create duplicates when merging your books.
