Layer Textures and Cosmetics Over Your Base Model

Understand Texture Layering

The mod allows you to apply multiple textures to create unique cosmetic variations. After setting your base model and primary texture, you can add overlay textures for additional visual customization without needing separate model files.

Apply Overlay Textures

Prepare additional .png texture files for cosmetic layers—these might represent clothing, armor, accessories, or color variants. Place them in your textures folder alongside your base texture. Use the texture command to apply overlays:

`

/morpher <Your Name> set texture base_texture

`

Then layer additional cosmetics by applying secondary textures in sequence.

Create Visual Variety

This approach lets you maintain a single model and animation set while creating multiple appearance options. For example, a single knight model could have textures for different armor colors, cloaks, or insignia. Experiment with layering to find combinations that match your desired aesthetic without duplicating your entire model file.
