Release Animals from Your Pen

Releasing Single or Multiple Animals

To let animals out of your pen, crouch (hold Shift) and right-click on the ground near your pen block. This will release one animal from the pen into the world. Repeat this process to release additional animals as needed.

Choosing Where to Release

Make sure you have space around your pen before releasing. Animals will spawn in the block you're targeting, so clear an area first. If you're releasing water creatures, make sure there's water nearby or they may take damage.

Preserving Animal Variants

When you release animals, they retain their exact colors and variants from when you captured them. A blue axolotl will remain blue, and a specific sheep color will be preserved. This makes it safe to temporarily store animals without losing their unique traits.

Recapturing Released Animals

If you need to recapture animals, simply use your Animal Cage or Container on them again. There's no penalty for capturing and releasing multiple times.
