Breed Animals Inside Your Pen

Feeding Animals for Breeding

You don't need to release animals to breed them. With animals stored in your pen, hold the appropriate food item and right-click on the pen block itself. The food will be consumed and the animals inside will enter breeding mode.

Common breeding foods include:

• Cows and mooshrooms: wheat
• Sheep: wheat
• Chickens: seeds
• Horses: golden apples or golden carrots
• Pigs: carrots, potatoes, or beetroot

Checking Your Configuration

If you're unsure what food your animals need, check the animal_foods.json configuration file. Server admins can customize which items trigger breeding for each animal type. If standard foods aren't working, ask your server admin to verify the configuration.

Collecting Offspring

Baby animals born inside the pen will also be stored there. Click on the pen to collect drops like experience orbs. The pen's animal model will grow larger as your population increases.
