Maximize Colored Light Effects Through Glass
Setting Up Colored Light Blocks
AmberVeil's signature feature is colored light bleeding through stained glass. To see this effect at its best, place light-emitting blocks (such as glowstone, lanterns, or soul lanterns) behind or within stained glass structures.
Steps:
1. Build a frame or wall using stained glass blocks in your desired color
2. Place a bright light source directly behind or adjacent to the glass
3. View the effect from outside the structure—colored light will bleed through onto nearby surfaces and blocks
4. Experiment with different glass colors and light sources; soul lanterns create cooler tones while regular lanterns produce warmer hues
Enhancing the Effect
The colored light bleed is most visible in darker areas and during night. Build your colored glass structures away from direct sunlight for dramatic results. Layer multiple colors of stained glass for complex light mixing. The effect works best on nearby surfaces, so place reflective blocks like water, polished stone, or light-colored concrete nearby to showcase the colored illumination.
