Viewing Custom Water Reflections

AmberVeil includes hand-tuned water reflections designed for clarity and visual appeal. These reflections work best in still water bodies.

Steps:

1. Create or locate a body of water—lakes, ponds, or canals work well

2. Keep the water surface clear and unobstructed for best reflection visibility

3. Build structures, place trees, or add light sources near the water's edge

4. View the water from different angles; reflections are most noticeable when looking at water from a low angle

5. The reflection quality improves in areas with good lighting and clear skies

Optimizing Water Scenes

Build over water or beside it to create scenic reflection opportunities. Place glowing blocks near water edges to see colored reflections in the surface. Clear water (without kelp or other vegetation) shows reflections most clearly. The effect is particularly striking during sunset or when viewing lit structures reflected in water. If water reflections seem dim, check your shader preset—higher settings provide more detailed reflection rendering. Avoid murky or deep water if you want clear reflection visibility.
