Alm’s Crafts and Additions Data Pack FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
Do I need to install this mod or is it just a data pack?
This is a data pack, so you drop it into your world's datapacks folder—no mod installation needed. Make sure you have the mods it's designed for (like Marium's Soulslike Weaponry and Mythic Upgrades) already installed in your world.
Why can't I find the new recipes in my crafting table?
The data pack only adds recipes for items that already exist in your installed mods. If you're looking for a recipe and can't find it, double-check that the mod providing that item is actually loaded in your world.
How do I farm gems repeatedly without running out?
The data pack adds new crafting recipes that let you create gems from Mythic Upgrades using geodes and other materials you can gather repeatedly. Check the crafting recipes for geodes—they now have a real purpose in the crafting chain.
What's the point of geodes now?
Geodes are now used as crafting ingredients to create gems and other valuable items, instead of being dead-end loot. This gives you a renewable way to get rare materials without exhausting world resources.
Do bosses respawn in multiplayer so everyone can fight them?
The data pack changes boss drop recipes so they don't run out in multiplayer—each player gets their own chance to battle and receive drops. This prevents one player from monopolizing boss fights and leaving others unable to progress.
Can I use this data pack with mods it doesn't mention?
Yes, the data pack won't break other mods, but it only adds new recipes for the specific mods it's designed for (Marium's Soulslike Weaponry, Mythic Upgrades, Eldritch End, End Remastered, and vanilla). Other mods will work normally alongside it.
What's the Fallen Champion's Dragur Sword recipe for?
The data pack adds a dedicated crafting recipe for the Fallen Champion's Dragur Sword to avoid crafting loops where the recipe was unclear or circular. This gives you a straightforward way to obtain it.
How do I smelt Necoium into full blocks?
The data pack adds a furnace recipe that lets you smelt Necoium directly into full blocks instead of requiring multiple steps. This saves time when processing large amounts of Necoium.
Will this data pack cause lag or performance issues?
Data packs are lightweight and don't typically cause performance problems. If you experience lag, it's more likely from the mods themselves rather than the recipe changes this pack adds.
Can I disable specific recipes from this data pack?
You can remove the data pack entirely, but there's no built-in way to toggle individual recipes. If you want to disable only certain features, you'd need to edit the data pack files directly or remove it and use only the mods.
