Upgrading AIOTs with Smithing Transform

What Smithing Transform Does

The mod adds two smithing_transform recipes. These upgrade an existing AIOT into a higher-tier AIOT without losing the item. Use a smithing table and place the base AIOT in the template slot, the upgrade material in the addition slot, and the AIOT in the base slot.

The Upgrade Chain

Start with a Manasteel AIOT. Apply the first smithing_transform to reach the Terrasteel AIOT. Apply the second smithing_transform to reach the Alfsteel AIOT. Alfsteel is the top tier in the registry, so no further AIOT upgrade exists.

Terra Hoe and Terra Spade

The Terra Hoe and Terra Spade are separate tools, not AIOTs. They sit alongside the Terrasteel AIOT in the registry and are used for tilling and digging respectively. If you only want one farming or digging tool, craft these instead of a full AIOT.

Practical Notes

Keep your base AIOT repaired before upgrading, since the smithing result inherits the item. Once you have the Alfsteel AIOT, it covers sword, pickaxe, axe, shovel, and hoe duties in a single slot.
