How to Breed and Improve Seed Stats in AgriCraft

Understanding the Three Stats

Every AgriCraft seed carries three stats: Growth, Gain, and Strength. Growth affects how fast the plant matures. Gain affects how much produce you get per harvest. Strength affects how resistant the plant is to weeds and other negative effects. Each stat is a number, and higher is better.

Cross-Breeding on Crop Sticks

To combine stats, place two different parent plants on adjacent Crop Sticks. When they are both mature, they can cross-breed. The resulting seed that drops carries a mix of the parents' stats. Plant that seed and check its stats before deciding whether to keep it.

Selecting for Better Stats

Harvest repeatedly and keep only the seeds with the highest numbers in the stat you care about. Replant those and cross them again. Over several generations, the stat values climb. This is slow but reliable — there is no shortcut around growing the plants out.

Weeds and Strength

Low-Strength crops are vulnerable to weeds, which can spread across your Crop Sticks and destroy plants. Raising Strength reduces this risk. If weeds appear, break the affected Crop Stick immediately before they spread to neighbours.
