Prevent Elytra Flight Sounds from Clashing with Wind Audio

Mute Default Elytra Noise

Minecraft's default Elytra gliding produces its own audio, which can overlap and clash with the Aero Rush Audio Mod's wind effects. The mod includes a setting to silence the vanilla gliding sound so only the rushing wind is heard.

Steps

1. Open your config file at config/hear_the_wind-client.toml

2. Find the mute elytra sound option

3. Set it to true

4. Save the file and restart Minecraft

5. Equip an Elytra and launch into the air

6. You should now hear only the wind audio without the default gliding noise

Testing Your Setup

Take a long glide from a high point and listen for a clean, uninterrupted wind sound. If you prefer hearing both sounds together, simply set mute elytra sound back to false. The choice depends on your personal preference and whether you find the layered audio immersive or distracting.
