Aero Rush Audio Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I know if the wind sounds are actually working?
Jump off a high cliff or use Elytra to gain airspeed—you should hear wind audio fade in smoothly as you accelerate. If you hear nothing, check that your Master and Players volume sliders in Minecraft's sound settings are turned up, and verify the mod is enabled in your mods folder.
Why do I hear wind sounds when I'm standing still on the ground?
You likely have the ground movement option enabled in your config file. Open config/hear_the_wind-client.toml and set ground movement to false if you only want wind sounds during airborne flight.
Can I use this mod on a multiplayer server?
Yes—the mod is entirely client-side and does not change game physics or rules, so it works on any server without requiring the server to install it.
The wind sound keeps getting louder and louder during a long fall. How do I fix this?
The mod uses layered audio loops to prevent stacking, but you can reduce wind loudness in your config file under the wind loudness setting, or lower your in-game Players volume slider.
My Elytra gliding sounds and wind sounds are playing at the same time and it's annoying.
Open your config file and set mute elytra sound to true—this silences the default game gliding noise so only the wind audio plays.
At what speed does the wind sound start playing?
You can set your own speed threshold in the config file under speed thresholds; the wind fades in smoothly once you reach that minimum airborne speed.
Do I need to restart Minecraft after changing the config file?
Yes, you need to fully restart Minecraft for config changes to take effect—simply closing and reopening the world is not enough.
Will wind sounds play when I'm riding a horse or boat?
Only if you enable the vehicles and mounts option in your config file; by default, wind audio only triggers during airborne flight.
Does this mod work with fast minecart rides?
Yes—if you enable the vehicles and mounts option in your config, you'll hear wind audio during high-speed minecart travel.
Can I hear different wind sounds, or is it always the same audio?
On modern game versions, the mod plays multiple distinct audio clips with pitch shifts and volume wobble to keep the sound varied and natural during long flights.
