Enable Wind Sounds While Riding Horses, Boats, or Minecarts

Activate Vehicle and Mount Audio

The Aero Rush Audio Mod can extend wind sounds beyond just flying—you can hear rushing air while riding fast vehicles and mounts. This adds atmospheric audio to minecart rides, boat journeys, and mounted travel.

Steps

1. Open config/hear_the_wind-client.toml

2. Locate the vehicles and mounts section or toggle

3. Set the option to true

4. Save and restart Minecraft

5. Ride a horse at full gallop, board a minecart on powered rails, or sail a boat at speed

6. Wind audio should now accompany these activities

Fine-Tuning Vehicle Sounds

Each vehicle type moves at different speeds, so you may want to adjust the speed thresholds setting to match when wind audio activates. For example, minecarts on powered rails reach high speeds quickly, while horses accelerate more gradually. Test each vehicle type and adjust thresholds so the wind sound feels natural for that mode of travel. You can also lower wind loudness if vehicle audio becomes overwhelming during long rides.
