Dimensions & Exploration

In the 1.20.1 and 1.21.1 versions, the dimensional system is being progressively re-added. Dimensions are accessed using Realmstones on an Ancient Teleporter structure.

Dimensional Tiers

Dimensions are categorized into tiers. Higher tiers contain more dangerous mobs and better loot.

Ancient Teleportation

To travel to new worlds, you must construct an Ancient Teleporter. This structure consists of Ancient Rock and Carved Runes. Once built, right-clicking the frame with a Realmstone will open a portal to that specific dimension.

Skills System

AoA adds several skills that can be leveled up to 1000. Pressing the Delete key (default) opens the Advent GUI to track progress.

Primary Skills

Hunter	Kill Hunter-class mobs	Allows damaging higher-level mobs.
Mining	Mine ores and stones	Increases mining speed and drop rates.
Foraging	Harvest crops and plants	Unlocks new seeds and better yields.
Fishing	Catch fish in various dimensions	Unlocks better rods and rare loot.
Agility	Run, jump, and dodge	Increases movement speed and dodge chance.
Innervation	Use staves and magic	Increases max Soul power and magic damage.

Skill Cycles

Upon reaching level 100, players can choose to 'Cycle' a skill. This resets the level to 1 but provides a permanent 300% XP gain boost for that skill. This can be done up to 10 times.

Bosses & Summoning

Bosses are massive encounters that provide the best loot in the mod. In the current versions, bosses are primarily fought in the Nowhere dimension.

Summoning Mechanics

Obtain a Boss Totem (e.g., Shroomus Totem, Baroness Totem).
Travel to the Nowhere Boss Lobby (use a Boss Totem by right-clicking for 3 seconds if you don't have a Realmstone).
Use the Totem on the Boss Altar to be teleported to a random arena.

Resource Systems

Beyond Health and Hunger, AoA introduces three new resource bars located on the HUD:

Soul: Used for magic staves. Regenerates over time. Max capacity is increased by the Innervation skill.
Energy: Used for high-tech blasters and snipers. Regenerates slowly or can be refilled with Energy Cells.
Tribute: Gained by killing mobs. Can be spent at various NPCs or altars for temporary buffs or rare items.

Mobs & Creatures

Mobs in AoA are divided into standard hostile mobs and Hunter Mobs. Hunter mobs require a specific Hunter level to be damaged.

Equipment: Weapons & Armor

AoA adds 13 distinct weapon types, each with unique mechanics.

Weapon Types

Greatblades: Slow but heavy-hitting melee weapons.
Snipers: Long-range, high-damage rifles that require ammo.
Blasters: Energy-based weapons that consume the Energy resource.
Staves: Magic weapons that consume the Soul resource.
Mauls: Melee weapons with high knockback.

Armor Sets

Most armor sets provide a full-set bonus when all four pieces are worn.
