Set Up Your First Keycard Security Door
Gather Your Materials
Craft or obtain a keycard reader, wireless receiver, and at least one blank keycard. You'll also need a redstone mechanism (door, piston, lamp) to control.
Create a Security Network
Place your keycard reader near the entrance you want to protect. Open its interface and create a new security network by naming it (e.g., "Vault Access"). This reader will scan incoming keycards.
Place your wireless receiver next to the redstone mechanism you want to trigger—a door, gate, or lock. Link the receiver to your reader through the reader's interface by selecting the receiver location or ID.
Configure Access Levels
In the reader's menu, define clearance tiers. You can customize names like "Guest," "Member," or "Admin" and assign each a color or icon. Set your reader to require a specific clearance level.
Issue Keycards
Create blank keycards and assign them a clearance level matching your reader's requirement. Give these cards to trusted players.
Test Your Setup
Hold an authorized keycard and interact with the reader. The wireless receiver should trigger, activating your redstone mechanism and opening the door.
