Escaping and Re-Running a Better Dungeon
Marking Your Exit Route
Before you go deep, place a trail of torches on the floor pointing back toward the entrance. Because the layout loops and stacks floors, a torch trail is more reliable than memory. At every junction, put a torch on the wall of the corridor you came from.
If you get lost, stop and trace the trail backward rather than digging random tunnels. Digging through stone bricks can collapse you into a shaft or seal you off from the stairwell.
Resetting for a Second Run
Once you have cleared the spawners and looted the chests, the dungeon stays open. You can walk back in through the same entrance and re-clear it after mobs respawn in unlit areas — so leave some rooms dark if you want to farm, or light everything if you want it safe.
To make a return trip easier, build a small base camp at the entrance: a chest for spare gear, a bed if the area is safe, and a stack of torches. Store your loot there before descending again so you never lose a full inventory to one bad fall.
If a section is fully looted and lit, you can safely use it as a corridor between cave systems rather than retracing the surface.
