How to Craft Your First Wooden Yoyo

Gather Cord and Planks

Every yoyo in the mod is built around Cord, so your first job is producing Cord before you can assemble any yoyo. Combine the materials you have on hand through the mod's shapeless recipes to obtain Cord. Once you have Cord in your inventory, you can move on to the yoyo body itself.

Assemble the Wooden Yoyo

The Wooden Yoyo is the entry point of the progression. Using a shaped recipe, combine Cord with wooden planks to produce the Wooden Yoyo. This is the cheapest yoyo available and the one you should build first, because it lets you test the throw-and-return behaviour before spending iron, gold, or diamonds on the higher tiers.

What to Do With It

Hold the Wooden Yoyo and use it to attack. The yoyo leaves your hand, travels out, and returns, dealing damage along its path. Because it is made from planks, treat it as a disposable starter weapon: use it to clear passive mobs and to learn the timing of the return before you commit better materials.
