Disable Inventory Scanning for Custom Challenges

Turning Off Automatic Scans

If you're creating a custom survival challenge where players should be able to keep items they already own, you can disable the automatic inventory scanning feature. Locate the scanning settings in your mod's configuration file and toggle it off. This prevents the mod from checking chests and player bags when they're opened.

What Still Gets Blocked

Even with scanning disabled, the mod still prevents players from:

• Picking up new blocked items from the ground
• Breaking blocks that would drop restricted items
• Placing restricted blocks
• Holding blocked items in their offhand

Creating Your Challenge

With scanning off, you can allow players to use items they found before restrictions were added, but prevent them from obtaining new ones. This is ideal for progressive difficulty modes where you gradually lock down resources as the game progresses. Remember to communicate these rules clearly to your players so they understand what they can and cannot do.
