Cooking Meat: Bacon, Ham, Ground Beef and Chicken
Raw to Cooked
Raw proteins such as Bacon, Ham, Ground Beef and Chicken are cooked in a furnace, smoker or on a campfire. Smelting, smoking and campfire cooking all accept these items, so use whichever station you already have. Smoking is the fastest option when you have one built.
Cooked results feed directly into sandwiches, pies and plated meals. Cooked Chicken Wing is a standalone snack. Ground Beef becomes the base for Hamburger and Cheeseburger fillings.
Where Cooked Meat Goes
Once cooked, Bacon, Ham and Ground Beef slot into Burgers, Sandwiches and Pies. Beef Stew, Chicken Soup and Chicken Pot Pie all rely on cooked meat plus vegetables from your farm.
Keep a chest of cooked proteins separate from raw ones so you do not accidentally smelt a finished item. If you are running a smoker, load it with raw Bacon, Ham, Ground Beef and Chicken in batches. A single stack of each covers several crafting sessions of Burgers and Sandwiches.
