How to Craft and Use Ebony Wood

Getting Ebony Wood

Ebony Log is the base material for the entire Ebony set. Break Ebony Logs to collect them, then place them in a crafting grid to turn each log into four Ebony Planks. From Ebony Planks you can craft the full family of building blocks: Ebony Slab, Ebony Stairs, Ebony Fence, Ebony Fence Gate, Ebony Door, and Ebony Trapdoor. All of these follow the standard wood recipes you already know from vanilla, just using Ebony Planks as the input.

Building with the Ebony Set

Use Ebony Slab and Ebony Stairs together to shape floors, ceilings, and rooflines without leaving gaps. Ebony Fence works for pens, railings, and balconies, and Ebony Fence Gate gives you a working entrance in the same fence line. Ebony Door and Ebony Trapdoor close off rooms and floor openings. Ebony Wood is the bark-covered variant, so place it wherever you want the rougher outer texture on a post or pillar. Because every piece comes from the same plank block, you can mix slabs, stairs, fences, and doors in one build and keep a consistent tone. Stockpile logs first, convert them to planks in batches, then craft the specific shapes you need for the structure you are assembling.
