How to Craft and Place Lamps

The Lamp Family

This mod provides several light sources: Blackstone Lamp, Deepslate Lamp, Covered Lamp, Factory Lamp, Factory Lamp Slab, and Factory Lamp Stairs. Each one emits light and can be placed like a normal block. Factory Lamp also has slab and stair variants so you can light a staircase or a low ceiling without leaving a full block sticking out.

Lighting a Build

Use Blackstone Lamp and Deepslate Lamp where you want a dark, heavy fixture that blends into stone walls. Covered Lamp suits interiors where you want the light source partly hidden. Factory Lamp, Factory Lamp Slab, and Factory Lamp Stairs fit industrial rooms, workshops, and basements. Place Factory Lamp Slab flush into a floor or ceiling to keep the surface flat, and use Factory Lamp Stairs to follow the slope of a staircase. For a large open room, space lamps evenly so the light overlaps and you avoid dark patches between fixtures. Pair the lamps with Factory Slab, Factory Stairs, and Factory Trapdoor to keep the surrounding blocks in the same industrial style.
