Enable and Disable Outlines on Specific Block Types

Access Shader Settings

Open the shader options menu while in-game. This is typically found in Video Settings > Shaders > Shader Options, though the exact path depends on your launcher.

Toggle Outline Layers

World Outline Shaders provides toggles for different outline categories. Look for options controlling:

  • Block outlines — edges around individual blocks
  • Terrain outlines — borders on natural surfaces like dirt, stone, and grass
  • Water and fluid outlines — whether liquids receive edge detection

Each category can usually be toggled independently. Disable any you don't want to see.

Fine-Tune Line Visibility

If you want outlines everywhere but prefer them subtle, look for outline intensity or thickness sliders. Reducing these values makes lines thinner and less prominent while keeping them visible.

Save and Test

Apply your changes and walk around your world. Different lighting conditions and distances will show how outlines look in practice. Adjust again if needed—there's no penalty for experimenting.
