How to Automate Item Flow with Importers and Exporters

Placing the Ingredient Importer

Attach an Ingredient Importer to a Primary Base or Secondary Base. This block pulls required items from an adjacent inventory into the farm. Place a chest or hopper next to the importer and fill it with the items the mob needs. The importer moves them automatically.

Placing the Loot Exporter

Attach a Loot Exporter to the same base. This block pushes produced items out to an adjacent inventory. Place a chest, barrel, or pipe connection next to it. Without an exporter, the farm fills up and stops.

Using the Factory Connector

Place a Factory Connector between machines to link them. It transfers items or fluids between adjacent Woot blocks without needing separate pipes. Use it to chain a Loot Exporter into a Dye Liquifier, or an Ingredient Importer from a central storage chest.

Keeping the Farm Running

Check both the importer and exporter regularly. If the input chest empties, the farm stops. If the output chest fills, the farm stops. Use large chests or multiple exporters to extend runtime. A Factory Connector can split output between several chests if one is not enough.
