How to Upgrade Wooled Diamond Boots to Wooled Netherite Boots

The Smithing Step

The Wooled Netherite Boots are the only item in the mod made with a smithing_transform recipe rather than a crafting table recipe. That means you upgrade into them at a smithing table, not a crafting grid.

What You Need

• A pair of Wooled Diamond Boots as the base item
• The smithing ingredient the recipe requires (the netherite-tier material used for smithing upgrades)
• A smithing template, if the recipe calls for one

Steps

1. Place the smithing table and open it.

2. Put the Wooled Diamond Boots in the base slot.

3. Add the required smithing ingredient and template in their slots.

4. Confirm the output shows Wooled Netherite Boots, then take them.

Why This Route

You cannot craft Wooled Netherite Boots from plain Netherite Boots plus wool — the mod routes netherite through smithing instead. So the correct chain is: craft Wooled Diamond Boots first, then transform them. If you already own plain Netherite Boots, they will not substitute here; the base slot expects the wooled diamond pair.
