How to Upgrade Diamond Wolf Armor to Netherite

Get the Materials

Netherite Wolf Armor is the top tier. You need Diamond Wolf Armor as the base, plus netherite scrap from the Nether. Mine ancient debris with a diamond or netherite pickaxe, smelt it into netherite scrap, and combine scrap with gold ingots to make netherite ingots. You also need a smithing table.

Use the Smithing Recipe

Place the smithing table and open it. Put Diamond Wolf Armor in the base slot and the netherite ingot in the addition slot, following the smithing recipe layout. The output is one Netherite Wolf Armor piece. The diamond armor is consumed in the process.

Equip the Result

Right-click a tamed wolf with Netherite Wolf Armor to equip it. The wolf now has the strongest protection available in this mod.

Handle With Care

Netherite Wolf Armor is the most expensive piece to lose. Keep the wolf close, avoid lava and void falls, and consider leaving the wolf at base during risky trips. If you need to move the armor to another wolf, right-click the new wolf with a different armor piece or remove it first. Because the upgrade consumes the diamond armor, you cannot downgrade back to diamond without crafting a new Diamond Wolf Armor from scratch.
