Convert a Totem of Undying into Experience While Sleeping

Preparation

Gather a Totem of Undying and place a dreamcatcher within 3 to 4 blocks of your bed. The dreamcatcher must be active and properly positioned for this mechanic to work.

Performing the Conversion

Hold the Totem of Undying in your main hand (not your offhand). Approach your bed and sleep normally. The dreamcatcher will detect the totem and consume it during your sleep cycle.

Reward

Upon waking, the totem is consumed and you receive 650 EXP as compensation. This is an efficient way to convert totems into experience points if you have surplus totems and don't need their protective effect. Note that you must be holding the totem in your main hand for this to trigger—placing it elsewhere will not work.
