Making and Using Dark Bricks, Blackstone and Maulstone

Dark brick set

Dark Bricks are the base of the dark palette. Craft Dark Bricks Slab and Dark Bricks Stairs for shaping, then add Chiseled Dark Bricks for pattern and Cracked Dark Bricks for wear. Use these for crypts, prisons and lower dungeon levels.

Blackstone and gilded variants

Blackstone Bricks come with Blackstone Bricks Slab, Blackstone Bricks Stairs and Blackstone Bricks Wall. Gilded Blackstone Bricks are the accent version — place them in short strips or around doorframes rather than covering whole walls. Hot Blackstone Bricks are a separate heated variant; use them where you want a glowing or dangerous floor.

Blackstone Door is the matching door block. Craft it from blackstone brick materials and set it into a blackstone brick wall so the frame and door match.

Maulstone set

Maulstone Bricks form another heavy block family with Maulstone Brick Slab, Maulstone Brick Stairs and Maulstone Brick Wall. Maulstone Pillar is the vertical column version. Use maulstone for structural pillars and load-bearing-looking walls, and dark bricks for the infill between them.

• Floor: Dark Bricks with Cracked Dark Bricks patches.
• Walls: Blackstone Bricks with Gilded Blackstone Bricks trim.
• Pillars: Maulstone Pillar every few blocks.
• Door: Blackstone Door.
• Light: Dim Lantern or Dim Soul Lantern.
