How to Build and Use the Stone Altar

Building the Altar

Place a Stone Altar block where you want your ritual site. On top of it, place a Stone Altar Fire Bowl. The Fire Bowl is the part that holds a flame, so the Altar itself is the base and the Fire Bowl is the working surface.

Light the Fire Bowl the same way you would light a furnace or campfire — with a flint and steel or any fire-starting item. Once lit, the Altar is active and ready for use.

Using the Altar

The Altar is the central station for anything that needs a ritual rather than a crafting grid. Keep Silver Ingots, Raw Silver, and Wolfsbane-related items nearby so you can interact with the Altar without running back to storage.

If you are working toward transformation, the Altar is where you perform the ritual step. Have your materials in hand, approach the lit Altar, and interact with it. The Fire Bowl must stay lit — if the flame goes out, relight it before trying again.

For anything that uses a Smithing Template, keep a smithing table nearby too, since the Altar does not replace that station. The Altar handles rituals; the smithing table handles template-based upgrades.
