Crafting the Garden Trowel

Craft a Garden Trowel using the crafting recipe available in the mod. The Garden Trowel is a tool used to gather materials needed for Fertilizer production. Right-click with the Garden Trowel on valid blocks to collect organic components. These components are combined in crafting to produce Fertilizer.

Making and Applying Fertilizer

Craft Fertilizer from the materials gathered with the Garden Trowel. Fertilizer is used in the Bait Pot to boost its effectiveness. Place a Bait Pot near your water strainer, then add Fertilizer along with Worm or Super Worm. The combination of bait and Fertilizer raises strainer efficiency, which you can verify with the Efficiency Meter.

Integrating Fertilizer into Your Strainer Loop

Run a cycle: use the Garden Trowel to gather materials, craft Fertilizer, harvest Worm and Super Worm from the Worm Bin, then stock the Bait Pot with both. Check the Efficiency Meter on your Fisherman's Strainer, Survivalist's Strainer, or basic Strainer Base setup. Refill the Bait Pot when efficiency falls. Fertilizer is consumed alongside worms, so keep a steady supply by repeating the Garden Trowel gathering step. This loop supports Solid and Reinforced strainer variants as well, since they all benefit from Bait Pot bonuses.
