Adjust Particle Visibility and Effects
Understanding Particle Settings
The Water Splashes and Waves data pack uses Minecraft's particle system to create visual effects. Your ability to see splashes clearly depends on your client-side particle settings.
Changing Particle Density
1. Open Options from the main menu
2. Navigate to Video Settings
3. Locate the Particles slider
4. Adjust from Minimal to All depending on preference:
- Minimal: Fewer particles, better performance
- Decreased: Balanced visibility and performance
- All: Maximum splash effects and particle density
Optimizing for Your System
If you experience lag when creating splashes, lower the particle setting. If splashes look too subtle, increase it. The data pack works with whatever setting you choose—it simply scales the number of visible particles.
You can also adjust Render Distance in the same menu if water effects disappear too quickly from view. Higher render distance means splash effects remain visible from farther away.
