How to Craft a Ward

Prerequisites

A Ward is the block you actually place in the world, and it is built from a Ward Core. You cannot skip straight to the Ward; finish the Ward Core first, which itself requires a Broken Ward Core and Enchanted Paper.

Make sure you have your Ward Core crafted and sitting in your inventory before you start the final recipe.

The Final Craft

With the Ward Core ready, open a crafting grid and combine it into a Ward. The mod's recipes are a mix of shaped and shapeless types, so if your first arrangement gives nothing, rearrange the same ingredients into a different pattern. Do not add items that are not part of the registry; only the four mod items exist, and extra ingredients will simply block the recipe.

When the craft succeeds you receive a Ward block, ready to be placed.

Placing Your Ward

Carry the Ward to the spot you want to protect and place it like any other block. Because the Ward is a block rather than a held item, its effect comes from where it sits in the world, so choose the position deliberately.

If you plan to cover more than one area, craft multiple Wards. Each one costs a Ward Core, so budget your Broken Ward Cores and Enchanted Paper accordingly before you commit to a large build.
