How to Get and Use the Pelt Log

Obtaining a Pelt Log

The Pelt Log is one of the two blocks in the mod, alongside the Polar Bear Rug. It is a placeable block, so once you have one you can set it down and pick it back up like any other block. Check your available sources for the Pelt Log — it is a block you place, not a tool you hold.

Placing the Pelt Log

Hold the Pelt Log and right-click a solid surface to place it. It behaves as a normal block: it occupies a space in the world, can be broken, and drops itself when mined. Use it as a decorative or structural element wherever you are building.

Combining Pelts at a Crafting Table

The mod includes a crafting_shapeless recipe type. Shapeless recipes ignore where you put the ingredients — only the items and their counts matter. If you are working with pelts such as Beaver Pelt, Fox Pelt, Marten Pelt, Mink Pelt, Snow Fox Pelt, or Polar Bear Pelt, bring them to a crafting table and arrange them in the grid to see what they produce.

Keep your pelts sorted in a chest so you can test combinations quickly. Because the recipe is shapeless, you can drop the items in any order and still get the result.
