How to Craft a Polar Bear Rug

Getting the Materials

A Polar Bear Rug is a placeable block, so you need the pelts that go into it before you can build one. Hunt polar bears in snowy biomes to collect Polar Bear Pelt drops. Gather as many as the recipe requires before heading back to a crafting table.

Crafting the Rug

The Polar Bear Rug is made through a crafting_shapeless recipe. Shapeless means the position of the ingredients in the grid does not matter — you only need the correct items and the correct count. Open a crafting table, place your Polar Bear Pelt items into the grid, and take the finished Polar Bear Rug from the result slot.

Placing and Using It

Once crafted, the Polar Bear Rug is a block you can place on the ground like any other decorative block. Right-click a solid surface to set it down. Because it is a block and not an item-only drop, you can break it and pick it back up to move it wherever you want.

If you are short on pelts, keep hunting polar bears until you have enough. Store spare Polar Bear Pelt in a chest near your crafting table so you can make additional rugs later without another trip to the snow.
