Adjust Shader Brightness for Different Times of Day
Access Shader Settings
Open the shader configuration menu by pressing the designated key (usually accessed through your mod menu or shader options). Look for brightness, exposure, or lighting adjustment sliders.
Optimize Daytime Visibility
During the day, Vivid Radiant Rays produces intense sunlight by default. If the brightness feels overwhelming:
- Reduce the exposure or brightness slider slightly
- Lower sunlight intensity if available
- Adjust bloom settings to reduce glare from bright surfaces
This helps you see details in shadowed areas without losing the shader's signature bright aesthetic.
Balance Nighttime Lighting
At night, the shader maintains visibility while keeping darkness atmospheric. If you find nighttime too dark or too bright:
- Increase ambient light for better cave and indoor visibility
- Reduce night brightness if the moon creates too much light
- Check block shadow intensity—softer shadows can make nights feel less harsh
Test Your Changes
Move between different biomes and times of day to ensure your adjustments feel consistent. Shaded areas under trees and open sky should both look balanced. Save your preferred settings once satisfied.
