Switch Between Combat and Exploration Visuals
Create Multiple Shader Profiles
Some shader packs allow saving multiple configuration profiles. Check your shader settings menu for a "Save Profile" or "Preset" option.
Create one profile optimized for PvP (high brightness, maximum shadow lifting, vivid colors) and another for exploration (balanced lighting, normal shadows, softer tones). Switch between them as your activity changes.
Use Shader Toggles Mid-Game
If your shader pack includes toggles for specific features, bind them to convenient keys. For example, bind the shadow-lifting toggle to a numpad key so you can enable it only during fights.
Check your shader options for any "feature toggle" or "mode switch" settings. Not all packs support this, but many combat-focused shaders do.
Adjust Settings Without Reloading
Most modern shaders (especially on Iris) allow real-time adjustment. Open the shader menu, tweak brightness or color saturation, and see changes instantly without reloading chunks.
Use this to fine-tune visuals on the fly—brighten before entering a dungeon, then dial back saturation if the cinematic tones feel too intense.
