Enhance Bloom Effects on Light Sources

Locate Bloom Settings

Access your shader configuration menu and find the Bloom or Glow section. This controls how torches, lanterns, lava, glowstone, and other light-emitting blocks appear.

Customize Bloom Intensity

Increase the bloom strength slider to make light sources glow more prominently and cast visible halos around them. This creates a softer, more cinematic appearance. Decrease it for a subtler effect that doesn't overwhelm darker areas.

Adjust the bloom radius to control how far the glow extends from each light source. Larger radius values create dreamy, atmospheric lighting; smaller values keep glows tighter and more realistic.

Test in Different Lighting Conditions

Visit caves, underground bases, and nighttime areas to see how bloom affects your builds. Torches and lanterns should feel warm and inviting. If bloom makes caves too bright or washes out details, reduce intensity. For dramatic underground bases with many light sources, higher bloom settings create striking visual impact.

Apply settings and explore to find your preferred balance.
