Track Your Shield Cooldown During Combat

Understanding the Visual Feedback

Your shield now displays its cooldown status through color changes, letting you know exactly when you can block again without checking your hotbar or inventory.

How to Read the Shield States

When an enemy hits your shield and breaks your defense, the shield texture immediately turns bright red. This red tint indicates your shield is recovering and cannot block damage yet.

As the cooldown timer counts down, the red color gradually fades back to your shield's normal appearance. Watch this fade carefully—when the shield returns to its standard color, your defense is ready to use again.

Timing Your Next Block

Use the color transition as your timing cue. This gives you a visual rhythm for combat, especially in rapid exchanges where you need to block multiple attacks in succession.

The fade happens smoothly across the entire cooldown duration, so you can predict when you'll be ready to defend again by how much color remains.
