Optimize Performance on Low-End Hardware

Verify Shader is Running Efficiently

Vintage Faded Cinematic is designed for low-spec systems, but you can maximize performance by checking your current framerate. Open the debug screen (F3 on most setups) and note your FPS before and after enabling the shader.

Reduce Additional Visual Load

If performance drops, disable other visual mods running alongside the shader—particle enhancers, dynamic lighting, or advanced water shaders can conflict. Keep vanilla lighting enabled, as the shader relies on it rather than replacing it.

Adjust Render Distance if Needed

If frames still struggle, lower your render distance before blaming the shader. Vintage Faded Cinematic has minimal impact on framerate, so performance issues usually stem from other mods or world settings. The shader's lightweight design means it should run smoothly even on potato PCs without requiring further tweaking.
