Adjust Shader Intensity to Match Your Playstyle

Access Shader Settings

Open the Shader Options menu while in-game by pressing the key bound to shader settings (typically accessed through your graphics menu or mod settings). Look for Vintage Faded Cinematic in your active shader list.

Fine-Tune the Vintage Effect

Locate sliders controlling color saturation, fade intensity, and color temperature. Reducing saturation makes the world feel more washed-out and Polaroid-like; increasing it brings back more color while keeping the retro tone. Adjust the fade/vignette slider to control how much the edges of your screen darken—lower values keep edges bright, higher values create a more pronounced vintage frame effect.

Test Across Different Times

Load your world and visit both daytime and nighttime areas. The shader applies its cold tone across both cycles, but the effect looks different depending on vanilla lighting. Tweak settings until the retro look feels natural without making caves or night too dark to navigate. Save your preferred settings—they persist across sessions.
