Preparing for Fake Crashes and Disconnections

What the Mod Can Trigger

Vile Genesis Mod simulates computer errors and server issues as part of its horror experience. These include fake crash screens, system error popups, and unexpected world disconnections. All of these are safe—they don't damage your actual computer or permanently affect your world.

Before They Happen

Save your progress regularly by exiting to the main menu. Keep your world backed up if you're particularly attached to it. Understand that disconnections are intentional lore events, not actual server failures. This knowledge helps you stay immersed rather than panicked.

During an Event

If your game minimizes, crashes, or disconnects, take a breath. Your files are safe. The mod is designed to be unsettling but not destructive. When you rejoin your world, you'll resume near where you left off. If you need to step away, do so—the mod respects your boundaries. Consider playing in windowed mode so sudden minimizations feel less jarring.
