Optimize Shader Performance on Low-End Systems
Reduce Visual Quality to Maintain FPS
Vignette Low End Shaders is designed for budget systems, but you can dial back features if you're experiencing lag.
1. Open shader options (Shift + O)
2. Disable or reduce shadow quality first—this has the biggest performance impact
3. Lower reflection quality or disable water reflections
4. Reduce render distance if needed
5. Turn off ambient occlusion if available
6. Keep ore glow enabled—it uses minimal resources
Monitor Your Frame Rate
After each change, play for a minute to see if performance improves. Start by disabling the most demanding features:
- Reflections and water effects
- Shadow distance and detail
- Ambient lighting effects
The shader's core features—ore glow, clean water, and time-based sky colors—remain active even at lowest settings. You can always re-enable features later if your system handles them better than expected.
