Enhance Water and Reflection Quality
Enable Reflection Features
In your shader settings, locate the reflection options. Ensure water reflections and block surface reflections are enabled. These are core features of Vibrant Hostility and should be active by default.
Adjusting Reflection Intensity
- Water reflections — Control how much the water surface mirrors the sky and surrounding environment. Higher values create mirror-like surfaces; lower values keep water translucent.
- Block reflections — Smooth, polished surfaces on blocks (like stone and metal) will reflect light. Adjust this setting to make reflections more or less pronounced.
- Reflection distance — Some settings control how far reflections render. Reducing this can help performance while keeping nearby water and surfaces reflective.
Best Viewing Conditions
Reflections are most visible during daytime when there's ample light to reflect. Position yourself so light sources (sun, torches) are visible in the water or on reflective surfaces. The cartoon aesthetic combined with smooth reflections creates a polished, clean look ideal for showcasing builds.
Test reflection settings near large bodies of water or polished building materials to see the full effect.
